HITACHI SCREW COMPRESSOR INSPECTION

During routine PPM Tasks we noticed a bearing noise on the running compressor. We recommended a strip-down inspection on the compressor as its run hours had exceeded 35,000 Hours.

During the Hitachi Screw Compressor Inspection it became apparent that the thrust plate and rotor thrust ends had heavy pick-up. We decided that a full rotor pack replacement would be the best course of action. We returned the following week to complete the job.
